Hi John - Thanks for the visit to my Fotopages and kind comments. Led me to yours. Really nice work. Congrats. Love the "Awakening" and "Serenity" in this set. You should join us in the Barbados Photo Club. We visit the same spots as you seem to go and the companionship is always rewarding.

John,
Thanks for your visit to my fotopages and for your very enlightening information on the pop-a-gun tree.

Your own work is visually pleasing and I will pay you a visit from time to time.

Thanks again. Victor Gittens

The images in this selection consist of a variety horticultural subjects, some of which have been processed digitally in various ways in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. Several of them are "up close and personal", macro/semi macro photos. The subjects of some are obvious whereas others are not. Feel free to guess at what the not so obvious ones are and I'll come back in a week or so with the correct answers

Hi John - With a little time on my hands decided to delve around in my peers' Fotopages. Discovered this batch of yours that I hadn't seen before. Very striking and inspiring. I don't know much about Corel Paint (PS man myself) but it seems to deliver some interesting results. Congrats.

With the exception of Eons have passed which was taken in one of our numerous gullies, all other photos have been taken aound the ruins of various sugar factories from our historical past. Ruins near Drax Hall 1 and 2 have been processed in MS Digital Image Pro 9. Strangled is original photo whilst Strangled 1 - 4 have all been processed in MS Digital Image Pro 9 with various filters, as have Encircled, Dominated 2B and The Arrival. With exception of Strangled which depicts the The Strangler Fig - Ficus aurea - all other trees are the Bearded Fig Tree - Ficus citrifolia - from which Barbados was given its original name, Los Barbadoes (the Beared One) by Portuguese sailors some 500 years ago.

Finally made it to your page. glad I did... and LOOK SEE what YOU've been up to ! Great effect on 'The Arrival' - outstanding !
RNDH#1 is superb... good work shooting AND processing !
